JAPAN IS CALLING IN 2024!

GO BEYOND THE GEISHAS & CHERRY BLOSSOMS AND EXPLORE THE LESS TRODDEN LAYERS OF JAPANESE CULTURE

Despite being one of the greatest places on earth to photograph, Japan can be a hard place to penetrate. In just one week, Meg will introduce you to a world outside the usual routes, and help you discover the country at its essence, beyond street snaps and standard travel pics, to create memorable work that’s uniquely yours.

Meg has traveled extensively in Japan and is the woman behind “Tokyo is Yours,” a photographic examination of the Japanese capital after the 2011 Great Tohoku Earthquake.

“My favourite part of the workshops is watching people grow, as they find and develop their own voice. Great images don’t just make me look again, they demand that I challenge, question, and engage. They tell me their story.” Meg Hewitt

SOME REVIEWS FROM PREVIOUS WORKSHOPS

Beyond style, beyond technique, beyond craft: Meg Hewitt’s workshop – in fact, her work – is about VOICE.
If you’re seeking your own visual voice, join one of her workshops…as I did!!!

I had an awesome time in Tokyo and really enjoyed the workshop. Great to be pushed to do things a bit out of the comfort zone (ie approaching people directly) and take on new challenges in a new location. Really got a lot of inspiration and encouragement from you, Marco and all the participants - which was very motivating. It’s great to learn from people whose work I admire, as I find this always helps me get closer to where I want to be with my work. So thanks for everything!! I have a lot to take away and think about and work on.

Seriously one of the best trips of my life, I made so much good work. There are so many great places to hang out in Tokyo.

Cancellation Policy: If we cancel the workshop for any reason the whole amount is refundable, if you wish to cancel your place the deposit is refundable minus a $150 admin fee up to one month before the workshop after one month money paid to reserve your spot is not refundable.
